The Gospel According to Mary Magdalene
막달라 마리아의 복음서
Chapter 5
제 5 장
But they were grieved. They wept greatly, saying,
How shall we go to the Gentiles
and preach the gospel of the Kingdom of the Son of Man?
If they did not spare Him, how will they spare us?
그러자 제자들이 슬픔에 잠겨 크게 울며 말하기를
"우리가 어떻게 이방인들에게로 가서 사람의 아들이 말씀하신
하늘나라의 복음을 전할 수 있겠는가?
만일 그 이방인들이 그 분의 가르침을 함께 나누려 하지 않는다면
우리가 어떻게 그들과 함께 복음을 나눌 수 있겠는가?"
Then Mary stood up, greeted them all, and said to her brethren,
Do not weep and do not grieve nor be irresolute,
for His grace will be entirely with you and will protect you.
그러자 마리아가 일어나 그들 모두를 축복하며 그녀의 형제들에게 말하기를,
"울지 마십시오. 그리고 슬퍼하거나 망설이지도 마십시오.
예수님의 은총이 온전히 당신과 함께 할 것이며 당신을 보호해 줄 것입니다."
But rather, let us praise His greatness,
for He has prepared us and made us into Men.
그보다는 우리 모두 그 분의 위대함을 찬양합시다.
왜냐하면 그 분께서는 우리를 준비를 갖추게 하셨고
그리하여 사람들 속으로 나아가게 하셨기 때문입니다.
When Mary said this,
she turned their hearts to the Good,
and they began to discuss the words of the Savior.
마리아가 이렇게 말하며 그들의 마음을 선량한 쪽으로 돌리니
그들은 예수님의 말씀에 대해 음미하기 시작하였다.
Peter said to Mary,
Sister we know that the Savior loved you more than the rest of woman.
[cf. John 11:5, Luke 10:38-42]
베드로가 마리아에게 말했다.
"자매여, 우리는 예수께서 그 어떤 여인들보다도
당신을 더 사랑했다는 것을 알고 있답니다.
Tell us the words of the Savior
which you remember which you know, but we do not,
nor have we heard them.
그러니 당신이 알고 기억하는 예수님의 말씀들 중에
우리가 모르고 있으며, 듣지 못했던 말씀이 있다면 말해 주세요.
Mary answered and said,
What is hidden from you I will proclaim to you.
마리아가 대답하여 말했습니다.
"그대들에게 그동안 숨겨져 왔던 것에 대해 나는 분명히 말하겠습니다."
And she began to speak to them these words:
I, she said, I saw the Lord in a vision and I said to Him,
Lord I saw you today in a vision. He answered and said to me,
그리고 그들에게 이런 말들을 했습니다.
나는, 이어서 그녀가 말하기를, 나는 주님을 환영 속에서 보았고
그분에게 이렇게 말했습니다.
"주님 저는 오늘 환영(幻影) 속에서 당신을 보고 있나이다."
그러자 그분께서는 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다.
Blessed are you that you did not waver at the sight of Me.
For where the mind is there is the treasure.[cf. Matt. 6:21]
내 모습을 보고 흔들림이 없는 그대에게 축복 있으라.
왜냐하면 네 마음이 있는 그곳에 보물이 있기 때문이니라.
I said to Him,
Lord, how does he who sees the vision see it,
through the soul or through the spirit?
나는 그 분께 말했습니다.
"주님, 환영(幻影)속에서 그것을 보는 사람은
그 환영을 영혼을 통해서 아니면 정신을 통해서 봅니까?
The Savior answered and said,
He does not see through the soul nor through the spirit,
but the mind that is between the two
that is what sees the vision and it is [...]
예수님께서 대답해 말씀하셨습니다.
그 사람은 영혼을 통해서도 정신을 통해서도 보는 것이 아니라
환영(幻影)을 보고있는 그 둘 사이에 있는 마음으로 보는 것이다.
그것은 [...]
